Durable but affordable watchband
I have been looking for a durable and comfortable but affordable watch band for my Apple Watch. This was definitely the perfect choice. The band is well made, it fits me very well, and it’s easy to manipulate to get the watch itself in and out of it. It gives a tactical/rugged vibe and it definitely protects the watch and the watch face well. It’s not very heavy, but it also isn’t entirely lightweight.

About OROBAY Apple Watch bands with case
Why a band with a case?
A sport band protects nothing; a separate bumper can pop off. An Apple Watch band with case is one moulded piece: the strap, the bumper around the watch and a raised bezel over the screen edge. When the watch hits a wall or lands face down, the TPU takes the knock and the 2 mm lip keeps the glass off the ground.
Sizes and series
OROBAY cuts each case to one watch shape. The 49mm models fit Apple Watch Ultra 4, 3, 2 and 1. The 46mm models fit Series 10, 11 and 12, with a separate Series 12 version. One shared band fits 45mm and 44mm (Series 9–4, SE) and the old 42mm Series 3–1; another fits 41mm, 40mm and 38mm, with its own version for the small 42mm Series 11 and 10.
Rugged metal cases for the Ultra
For the hardest use, the rugged Ultra bands add a metal frame embedded in the TPU and a screen protector in the box. They cover the Digital Crown, so take the watch out before an ECG reading.
Colors, packs and wrist sizes
Black, dark gray, midnight blue, army green, desert tan and orange, plus 2-packs that pair black with a second color. Standard straps fit 6.3–9.06 in wrists, small ones 5.31–7.87 in, and the long-strap 2-packs 6.97–10.04 in. Every band charges with the case on.
Materials and styles in the collection
The collection uses two materials. Most styles are shockproof TPU — softer than a metal link, tougher than leather, and easy to rinse after a run. The rugged Ultra styles add a metal frame inside the TPU. QUESTIONS
Is it recommended to put a case on an Apple Watch?
If you train, work with your hands or wear the watch outdoors, yes. The aluminium and glass of a bare watch scratch easily; a band with case covers the edge and corners where most damage happens.
Can I charge the watch without removing the case?
Yes. The back of the watch stays open, so it sits on the charger with the band and case on.
Does it work with my 42mm watch?
It depends on the series. 42mm Series 1–3 is the large size (44/45mm band); 42mm Series 10 and 11 is the small size and has its own version of the 41mm band.
Does the case affect the heart-rate sensor?
No. The sensor on the back touches the wrist as usual. The rugged metal Ultra case covers the crown, so remove it for ECG.
